Serial Number 25030 was reported as inaccurate.

Note: Date is wrong should be 1868 ,1867 goes only to
9000 , Not sure if Railroad grade
Curator Response: Thanks for the report. However, your information is incorrect. According to Elgin records, the H.H. Taylor grade was introduced November 20, 1867, starting with serial number 25,001. Being the 30th Taylor manufactured, serial #25,030 was likely produced in 1867. The Taylor, along with the Raymond, was intended for railroad service.
