Case Details THE CASE A thick and sturdy American made gold filled plain polished case, signed C.W.C.Co. (The Crescent Watch Case Co.) Worded Warranted 20 years, Serial numbered (on both covers) .702523 The outer rear hinge opening cover and inner cuvette are plain polished with the rear cover having an elaborate engraved monogram S.H.W. It has a hinged front bezel.

Case condition : The case is in good clean condition, with just one small dent on the rim at 9 position and a few light scuff marks from normal use. Both hinges are good and strong with both covers opening and closing correctly, the bow has no chain rub and the crown thumb wheel has good grip and there is no plate loss. The case measures 50.66mm (approx 2 inches) in diameter not including the crown or bow measurement and weighs 104g (approx 3.7ozs) including movement. The case is original to the movement.

THE DIAL & CRYSTAL A striking Black enamel dial. It has white Arabic numerals with outer edge minute divisions. Gold coloured spade hands and a subseconds dial at six also with Arabic numerals

Dial condition The dial, hands and mineral glass crystal are all in very condition without any chips, hairlines or signs of ageing.

THE MOVEMENT A Waltham fifteen jewel keyless wound and pull-to-set damasked nickel 3/4 plate lever movement. grade 28, model 1888 size 16s. signed A.W.W.& Co. Waltham Mass. Movement spec includes: Club tooth scape wheel with straight line lever, oversprung and overcoil mono-metallic balance with blued steel balance spring and compensation screws, temperature and position adjusted. 15 screw set Jewels, patent "CHURCH" Starwheel regulator and with F/ S index on engraved balance cock
