Dial Details | HLs at 3 min. and 37 min. Soaking in Polydent over night cleaned them out appreciably. |
Movement Markings | "Safety Pinion, Adjusted", and serial no. stamped on the train plate. "F.B. Catlin Winstead Ct." stamped on barrel bridge. Unlike later 938s this early watch does not have "17 Jewels" stamped around the plate screw near the serial no. found, later in production. 6602 is from the first run of the 938 grade, serial nos. 6601 to 6700, being the second 938 movement made. The watch was finished 11-28-1894 and sold jeweler F.B. Catlin, Winsted Ct. on 12-11-1894. |
