Case Details The dedication "P. Nant Dec. 25, 1900" is engraved on inside curvette and his initials "P.N." on the front cover which shows that the coin silver Dueber case (though from the same era) is not original to the 941 movement, which the Hamilton ledgers show as being sold in 1902. In addition, another set of screw marks can be seen on the rear of the case ring.

161215 was finished 5/14/1902 and sold to wholesale Jewelers Stein and Ellbogen, Chicago on 5/14/1902. and thence to Sargeant Brothers Jewelers and Optometrists of Crooksville OH, whose name appears on the dial.
Only some 71 "Banner Specials" were made in the 941 production runs of a total of 26704 units made. Ser. nos. 161201-161250 (50), 205401-205420 (20) , and 205436 (1). The "Banner Special" were special order movments made specifically for the Chicago wholesale jeweler Stein and Ellbogen and had a unique damaskeening pattern as compared to the normal 941 and 940.
Purchased on Nov. 12, 2016 at online auction from a collector that owned it for about a year and acquired from an estate sale in northern central U.S.
