This auction features a Rare 1909, Size 18, Montgomery Dial South Bend Open-Face Pocket Watch.

The Grade 323 movement is marked South Bend Watch Co., 323, Trade Mark, South Bend, Ind., 17 Jewels, Adjusted to Temp and 5 Positions with the serial number 574698 dating this piece to 1909 according to published production records. It sets (Lever Set) and winds properly as well as keeps good accurate time.

The Double Sunk, Hard Enamel Montgomery Dial is in nice condition. (a few faint hairlines) It has Black Arabic Numerals and is marked South Bend beneath the 12 position with the Original Blue Steel Spade Hands as well as the subsidiary hand.

The South Bend Watch Company, Silvaloy Case is in excellent condition marked SBWCo., Silvaloy, 5405278.
