Note: This watch was my grandfather's who spent his
career as a railroad conductor, lastly for the
Southern Pacific. So, I assume it to be "railroad
grade" (My grandfather worked on the railroads
beginning about 1900, retiring in the 1940s.)

Curator Response: During this era, a pendant-set watch would not have been considered to be railroad grade by most major railroads.
