Please note that reports may contain inaccurate information or assumptions that must be dilligently considered with other available sources.

Stormy 1 · November 27, 2022

Serial Number 4809381 was reported as inaccurate.

Note: 4809381 was in service with the Santa Fe
Railroad from 1959 to 1963 and I have the Time
Service Approval Card to prove it. Approval NO#
A V-26703 Topeka, Kansas.
Curator Response: Thanks for the report. The Santa Fe Railroad line was more relaxed on requirements for watches in service, allowing for three positional adjustments rather than the five that most railroads required. While approved on the Santa Fe, this watch would not have qualified for service on the majority of American railroads at the time of production.

Serial Number 4809352 was reported as inaccurate.

Note: Movement is railroad grade
Curator Response: Thanks for the report. Since the movement was only adjusted to 3 positions, it would not have qualified for service on American railroads at the time of production.
