Case Details Henry Nicholy Lockwood (DOB 12/21/1845) was a watchmaker and jeweler who worked for many years in Boston, Massachusetts. Before Lockwood started his own business, he was in charge of the watch and French clock repairing department at the E. Howard Watch & Clock Company. Lockwood was born in Bergen, Norway to American parents, which is where he learned his trade. Lockwood moved to Chicago in 1863 and later moved to New York before he finally settled in Boston. After working for the E. Howard Watch & Clock Company for a number of years, Lockwood opened his own business in 1888. The business was located at No. 27 Bromfield Street and would move several times to different addresses on Bromfield Street. Lockwood's business is described as elegant and was endorsed by Howard. Lockwood's showroom featured clocks from the E. Howard Watch & Clock Company, the Boston Clock Company and the Chelsea Clock Company. Lockwood passed away on 5/14/1931 at the age of 85.
