Case Grade/Model
Case Serial # 2
Case Details This Thiery Watch Case is stamped with three of Charles Thiery's patent dates, which is quite common for these cases. It has a hinged cover on the back, which is not the case for most Timers that I own. Many Thiery cases have the serial number either stamped on the inside ring or the back case cover, or both. There is no serial number on the back cover, however the inside ring is stamped with a 2. I'm a little reluctant to call this the serial number, as it's simply so low, but it's the only number outside of the patent dates. You be the judge. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
Dial Material
Dial Type
Dial Style
Dial Signing Name
Dial Details This style dial has no numbers around the outer indices, and has dots and stems around the outer dial. This style on the outer indices is seen between serial numbers 125 until around serial numbers 600 or 700. However, The arrows in the smallest subdial have also changed to simple lines. This is the only dial I have seen with this type of subdial design.

This early Auburndale Timer has "Pat Applied For" in script lettering on the inside of the movement. Later this script was switched to stamped block lettering for cost saving purposes and "Pat. applied for" was switched out with either one or three patent dates. William A. Wales patented the Auburndale Timer and the patent was issued on May 28, 1878. However, the Auburndale Timers were being produced before the patent was actually issued, as evidenced by this example.
