Dial Details | This is an Auburndale Timer with split seconds, which are fairly uncommon. Unlike the standard timers, the split seconds timers use a proprietary case due to having a lever on the side. I keep a list of surviving examples of Auburndale Timers, and I've only found about 15% of them are split seconds. This was probably due to the difference in cost between the standard version vs. the split seconds - you could buy a standard Auburndale Timer for $15, but a split seconds would run you $25. |
