Dial Details | This split second Timer is engraved "Pat Applied For". That's normal for earlier models, and they stopped doing this somewhere around serial #500. However, this one here is #1805. It turns out that the Auburndale Watch Co also did this engraving work when they released their split second variation of the Timer. This is the first split second Timer that I've recorded with Pat Applied For, which helps numerically place when the model arrived. It's missing some parts – all of which I have replacements for. However, switching out the balance cock on one example will lead to having mismatching serial numbers, so this example will probably stay in its current condition for the time being. |
