Case Details Marked "BWC Co." in dog bone, "Warranted U.S. ASSAY" aroung eagle. Cuvette only marked with sn. Tom Cardano, Smith & Son, confirmed 14K for the case. PWDB watch case reference area says the BWC co. trademark on this case, "Warranted" eagle image "U.S. ASSAY" and dogbone with B.W.C. Co. in it, is for 8kt solid gold. Waltham had a patent for a process that produced 14kt on the outside of the case, and 8kt inside. NAWCC Forums indicate BWC Co. probably obtained the rights when Waltham stopped making cases. The jeweler's test and the trademark info appear to support this supposition.
