Case Manufacturer National Watch Case Co.

Case Serial # 7270068
Case Details The case is original to the watch and looks cosmetically nice, but both the rear cover and particularly the case ring threads for the bezel have cross threading issues making them quite finicky to get closed. The bow is loose and floppy. Still in spite it's faults the die-engraved detail is very crisp and well done. The case back shows wear but the exotic die engraved birds and other fine detail still holds up well. Hard to notice, but there is very fine die engraved detail of what looks like flames rising up behind the shield and empty cartouche which depict birds.Perhaps two phoenixes considering the flames.
Dial Material Glass Enamel
Dial Type Double-Sunk
Dial Style Arabic
Dial Signing Name Waltham
Dial Details Movement was purchased with no hands and in spite of having oodles of "spares" I had to ream out the miss matched minute hand I finally used to get it fit. The double sunk dial is in beautiful condition without hair lines or chips.
Movement Markings Serial number and "5 Positions" are stamped on the barrel bridge. "19 Jewels Adjusted A.W.W.Co. Waltham Mass. Riverside" is stamped on the train bridge.
This movement is in very good condition and free of any screw driver gouging or even micro-scratches, and also very clean. It seems to have been well maintained over the years and still keeps very accurate time.
