The little red symbol with CCCP on top of the letter "K" is the official soviet mark for the certification of quality (see http://en.wikipedia.org /wiki/State_Quality_Mark_of_the_USSR). The symbol with the K on the side and CCCP on top can be seen in the middle of the dial. The Russian word for quality is "качество" thus the letter "K" in the symbol. This CCCP quality stamp means as well that this particular watch was made between 1967 and 1991.
