Movement Markings | Hamilton 505 Patented ADJ. U.S.A. Pictured in Rene Rondeau's book "The Watch Of The Future" on page 152, it was released in February of 1965 with an original price of $150.00. It is quadruple signed on the dial, case, movement, and crown. It runs great and keeps time to well under 30 seconds variation per day, and has a brand new battery just installed. The hack function works properly, and the watch starts right up each time the crown is pushed in from the setting position to the running position. The Polaris II is much scarcer than the original Polaris, with an estimated production of only about 1000 total, and the White Gold version is particularly rare. This is an excellent example with a fine case, and original dial. Notice the point where the ends of the bows cross below the 6 position. It is very pronounced, showing that the watch has never been heavily buffed. These don't come around often. |
