Case Details | This watch is a Wadsworth, Elgin Crusader. As shown by the photo of the inside of the back cover and dust cover. The engraving of this case is amazing. The dial is a metal version. With a silver or possibly since this is a solid white gold case. The numbers, hands and accent features may also be white gold. If you enter Sn29198689 you will see a second version of this same watch. I actually have 2 of this model. So I have an amazing e-bay story to go with this watch. My wife buys this watch gives it to me months later as a gift. She presents it and say that the seller did not know how to open the back. And there for she knows nothing about the movement and it may just be a junkie 7 jewel watch. But she thought the dial looked nice and purchased it for me. I say, that I have seen this dial design before. It is rare to find this version. In fact we have a version of this dial in our display case, you know, the Crusader. I open the back and I say to my wife. Your not going to believe this. But this is a solid gold watch, it's a crusader. She paid $27.00 plus a few dollars in shipping. So there are diamonds in the rough out there. and sometimes a diamonds just waiting to be picked up off the ground. |

Movement Markings | This is my personal watch. Its a Elgin Crusader. Its solid white gold watch. Even the hands and dial numbers were white gold. Sz12 17J, Open face, MFD 1927. The MFD date it very interesting because 2 years later the Great Depression would start, and purchasing such a watch would difficult for many.
