Please see seller notes below: This watch Listed is a Rare 1881 Waltham 8 size Empress Pocket Watch, only 100 made this year per Waltham Data base. I had never heard of or seen a Waltham EMPRESS movement. The movement is a 11 jewel Gilt movement and running strong. The Highly Ornate Hand Engraved Case is Coin Silver (90% pure Silver) and is embellished with 14k Solid Gold Raised Designs of Yellow, Rose and Green Gold. There is a scene in the center of the case with a sail boat on the water. The case shows very little wear, all the designs are highly detailed. Rare 8 size 11 jewel Gilt Waltham Empress pocket watch made in 1881 (134 years old) running good The Waltham Data base shows that only 100 of these movements made in 1881 (extremely low production) I had never seen or heard of a Waltham Empress movement Stem wind and lever set The watch sets, winds and runs good but has not been time for accuracy and I do not guarantee time accuracy so please keep this in mind when bidding The Ornate Hand Engraved Case is solid silver (90% pure) called coin silver and has 14k solid gold Raised Deigns with a boat sailing on the water, case shows very little wear. Designs are Rose, Yellow and Green Gold Covers close tight and proper. Back cover does not go past 90 degrees but the front cover does go slightly past 90 degrees Nice clean glass crystal Very clean enamel dial and it does not have any hairlines, cracks or chips Roman numeral numbers with sunken second hand dial There are initials on the front but no inscriptions Total weight is a heave 76 grams consisting of Solid Silver and the Designs of 14k Gold |
