This one is a very beautiful 18 size Waltham formal dress pocket watch in the very rare and early low serial number (16923) North Western E.A. Muckle convertible or " Climax Watch case" . The movement serial number of 1446326 made in 1881 and one of only 23000 total. It has a near perfect dial with a hairline that starts at the 2. Beautiful blued hands. the movement winds, lever sets, and runs good, but is 139 year old so as with all pocket watches it probably should be serviced. the case is a Coin Silver North Western EA Muckle climax convertible meaning it can be an open faced watch or a hunter with a push button spring opening cover on the dial, your choice. the case is dated 1882 and the watch 1881,so they may have been together since new. It has light wear and marks from carry and storage over the decades and was obviously treasured by some one. Please study the photos. Overall it is in outstanding condition for a watch that is over 139 years old. this is not your average pocket watch. Condition: Pre-owned: An item that has been used previously.
