was made for railway use. Nice watch.
Curator Response: Thanks for the report. The estimated production date of 1909 is shortly after the majority of American railroads began adopting standards requiring watches be open face (pendant at 12:00 position) to be accepted into service. However, the estimated production date is expected to have a tollerance of +/- 5 years. Prior to 1906-1908, this watch would have been accepted on most railroads. It has been designated in the database as "no" due to the estimated production year.
