Serial Number 971704 was reported as inaccurate.

Note: My research on movement # 971704 found
conflicting info on the page. Two examples, 952897
and 962605 match, but the other five or six
examples on the page don't. Look at the barrel,
winding and balance locations! How can these be
the same movement? I am new to this collecting
business, and appreciate all info!
Curator Response: You are differentiating between hunting and openface movements. These can exist in different variations within the same grade. Openface typically winds at the 12:00 position while hunting winds at the 3:00 position. You will see this run is classified as "hunting."
