Charles Schwitter operated under his own name multiple times during his career. A noteable break in this business was when he incorporated and operated the Fidelity Watch Case Company from 1888 to 1896.
Schwitter may have also partnered with Mr. Martin in the early 1880s. The February 1883 issue of The Jewelers' Circular and Horological Review reported:
"The firm of Schwitter & Martin, makers of watch cases, has dissolved, and is succeeded by Martin & Tissot, who will continue the business. Mr. Schwitter having resumed business relations with Charles Glatz."
Schwitter incorporated the Fidelity Watch Case Company in 1888. The company operated for nearly a decade befroe failing in 1896 following the death of company treasurer A.G. Funck.
Schwitter continued to manufacture cases in a limited capacity under his own name, operating from 28 Cumberland St. in Brooklyn.
Charles Schwitter died in 1905.
