Note: Case manufacturers modified markings over time. As a result, the image above is simply a representation of one particular marking used by the company. Your case marking may differ based on the production era and other parameters.
Warranted
This case has been observed on watches with estimated production dates around the early 1890s.
The crown emblem is similar to the marked registered by Michael H. Cronin in 1882, with a star on top. Cronin's case company failed shortly after this trademark was issued, and the business was purchased at a sheriff sale by H. Muhrs Sons.
The serial numbers seen on the N.W.J.Co. cases are in the same style as those found on Muhr cases from this era, characterized by wide long-serif digits in a striaght-line style.
Assembly numbers are marked around the back rim, with two on the leading side of the hinge and the remaining three on the other. This marking procedure is identical to cases from the H. Muhr Sons factory.
