Keystone Magazine, February 1905: Elgin announces the reduction and rebate for the following grades: 295, 296, 297, 286, 287, 288, 307, 308
Elgin Grade 288 a slight modification on the existing Grade 208, and the two movements are nearly identical. According to material catalogs, only a handful of parts differ between the grades. In the 1907 A.C. Becken catalog, the Grade 207 movement is illustrated while the Grades 287/288 are described.
