Research Notes

Listed as an older grade in the 1887 SFM catalog (18-Size, Adjusted, 15j, Pat. Reg). 1887BHIA: "Same as Stuart."

The 1889 Bowman & Musser and 1890 Otto Young catalogs list the No. 107 with features similar to the "Bunn" grade. The 1887 S.F. Myers & Co. and 1887 Busiest House in America catalogs instead list Grade No. 108, suggesting it is the same as the Stuart grade. The 107 and 108 were never listed in the same catalog, and estimated production dates suggest these are actually the same grade. No runs of 18-Size Grade 108 movements are found in factory records. However, the early runs of 107 were recorded as produced in late 1887 and early 1888, aligning with when these were likely advertised as Grade No. 108 in original catalogs.
