Research Notes

The Rockford Grade 67 is an 18-Size Model 7 featuring a gilt finish with 11 jewels in settings. Some movements are fitted with the switching mechanism on the barrel bridge to transition between pendant-set and lever-set operation. The standard Grade 67 was fitted with a plain regulator. However, the 1896 A.C. Becken catalog offers the standard Grade 67 and a "Grade 67x" with a patent regulator for a $2.00 premium. In contrast, the c.1891 M.C. Eppenstein & Co. catalog offers the regulator upgrade for $0.75.
