Grade 800 is a 24j Hunting watch maufacturered by Rockford. The size 18s, Model 10 movement features a nickel finish and is adjusted to 5 positions, isochronism and temperature. During the time the watch was manufactured, it would have qualified for railroad service and is considered to be railroad grade. Each movement was fitted at the factory with a double-sunk dial.

The Grade 800 represents the highest grade 18-Size hunting watch produced by the Rockford Watch Company. According to factory serial lists, a total of 500 Grade 800 movements were manufactured within three distinct runs. The barrel bridge features the iconic "eye" barrel cap unique to the Grade 800 and 900.

Various plate markings were utilized on the Grade 800 throughout production. The markings typically found for each run are described below.

[519,401-519,500] The first run is marked "Rockford Watch Co. - U.S.A. - RG - 24 Jewels - Adjusted"
[535,601-535,700] The second run is marked "Rockford Watch Co. - U.S.A. - RG - 24 Jewels - Adjusted" (Some are additionally marked "800")
[542,001-542,300] The third run is marked "Rockford Watch Co. - U.S.A. - RG - 24 Jewels - Adjusted" or "Rockford Watch Co. - U.S.A. - 800 - 24 Jewels - Adjusted - 5 Positions - Double Roller"

The Grade 800 was still being offered by the Rockford Watch Company until the factory closed in 1915.
