Dial Details | Movement was originally purchased without dial, hands, or case. These parts were supplied from on hand spares (period appropriate) to assemble a complete watch. The only flaw on the single sunk was a chip on the outer dial edge at the 45 min. position. |
Movement Markings | "Safety Pinion" and serial number stamped on train bridge. "17 Jewels", "924", "Hamilton Watch Co. Lancaster Pa. stamped on barrel bridge. This movement is from the late run of the 924 made in 1918. Late 924's had, in addition to the 17 Jewels stamped on the left side of the barrel bridge, 924 on the right side, starting with 982501 in 1914, and "Made in U.S.A." around the plates left screw starting with 1442501 in 1921 until the end of 924 production in 1923. |
