Dial Details | Dial and hands supplied from on hand spares as movement was purchased without either. As you can see there is a large chip on the sunken second dial between 20 and 30 sec. markers. |
Movement Markings | "Adjusted" "481539" (ser. no.) , and "Safety Pinion" stamped on train plate in gold lettering. "Hamilton Watch Co. Lancaster Pa." and "17 Jewels" stamped on barrel plate in gold lettering. The regulator, index, and regulator spring and lever are finished in a gold gilt trim as are all the screws visible on the back of the movement. According to the Hamilton Grade list, 16,598 of the 927 movements were finished in a gilt trim. No. 481538 was completed 8/22/1907 Sold 9/6/1907 to T. R. J. Ayres & Sons, a whole jewelry firm located in Keokuk Iowa from 1875 to 1930 |
