Case Details Keystone 14K white gold filled J. Boss model. Citation engraved on the inside of the back cove reads:
"PRESENTED TO
E.J. COFFIELD
BY EMPLOYEES
WOON. DIV. U.E.R.
JUNE 30, 1928"
The case is in near mint condition showing very little wear and still has a firm bow. "WOON. DIV. U.E.R." stands for Woonsockett (city name) Division of the United Electric Railway Co. a local trolley company in the greater Providence RI area.

Movement Markings "Hamilton Watch Co. Lancaster, Pa. 19 Jewels"
and "996" stamped on the train bridge.
"Double Roller", "Motor Barrel", "Made in the U.S.A.", and serial no. stamped on barrel bridge.
"Adjusted 5 Positions", stamped on the balance cock.

This 996 went to Hamilton's finishing dept. in 1923. Citation engraved on the inside of the back cove reads:
"PRESENTED TO E.J. COFFIELD BY EMPLOYEES WOON. DIV. U.E.R. JUNE-30-1928 WOON. DIV. U.E.R. stands for "Woonsocket Division, United Electric Rail Road". The United Electric RR Co. ran trolleys in various Rhode Island towns and it seems Mr. Coffield worked in the town of Woonsocket and was given to him by his fellow workers upon leaving the company. The watch was purchased in Aug. of 2016 at an online auction and came from the personal collection of a deceased watchmaker.
