Case Details | The inside of the case back is is marked "Warranted 25 Years" and below this "MONITOR" (inside cartouche) and the serial number. It seems more than one case maker used the name monitor. Some mentioned are Brooklyn W.Cs. Co., Ill. W.Cs. Co., and Fahy's W.Cs.Co. |

Movement Markings | "A.L. Bonewell, Creston, O." stamped on the train bridge. "Safety Barrel" and serial no. stamped on the barrel bridge. #18171 is from the first run of 200 (18000-18200) of the 928. Note the simple Bosley (whip) regulator. Later 928's ( after # 18500) were fitted with a simple Goldthwaite type (no micro screw adjusting, just push the longer indicator). |
