Case Details | Case is a model 11 Keystone gold filled introduced in 1940 with shoulders (as shown here). In 1948 the model 11 case was introduced without shoulders. Engraved Hamilton Watch Co. 10 K Gold filled. Lancaster P.A. Serial number K097175 on rear case. Body has serial number 7175. This is the original case with significant wear on the rear case. More than likely used on the railway's during its life. |

Dial Details | Dial is a double sunk number 576 . The No. 576 remained popular throughout the 1920s and was one of the premier dials furnished on Hamilton’s railroad watches. The railroad grade 576 dial has remained in very good condition and the Hamilton has retained its original railway grade hands. Judging by the wear on the 992B's case, this pocket watch was used on the railways. |

Movement specification: 21 Jewels, Nickel, Gold center wheel, 3rd & 4th wheel are gilt, steel escapement, Gold jewel settings (upper), double roller, micrometric Reed regulator, adjusted 6 positions, temperature and isochronism. Elinvar Extra white hairspring. Lever set. RRG. Model 5.1946 This Hamilton was manufactured just after the ending of World War 2. Sometime during its life it came to England, possibly when new or could have been in later years. The 992B certainly had a hard life and judging by the extensive wear on the original case, a railway service life. |
