Case Details Sterling silver A.B case which is hallmarked 'Anchor' for Birmingham and hallmarked the letter 'O' which dates the case to 1888, the same year Jack the Ripper committed the famous Whitechapel in London murders. Unfortunately the case is missing its inner cover. This inner cover was missing before I purchased the Waltham.

Dial Details Dial is a single sunk dial in very good condition and feature Roman numerals with outer ring track. Setting the hands is operated by a key on the raised center square section.

Not marked on the movement: The movement on this Waltham was made sometime during November 1889 to February 1890. It was shipped to the UK and cased in England using a case made in Birmingham in 1888. This was not uncommon for a case and movement to be 12 or 18 months apart. The case was more than likely sat in storage for this period of time before being married to the movement.

Movement specification: 7 Jewels, Gilt, standard regulator, unadjusted. Grade Home

The movement does not run currently, awaiting a mainspring but is capable of running.
