Dial Details | At the time is documented this watch it was the earliest Sn 6026100 on the Data Base. For a Walthan Vanduarl Model 1892. What is interesting about early Sn is the dials were different from all the rest of what is currently displayed. Some where before this Sn and about 7 million the dial changed this early double sunk, Roman numberal, Scrip writing version. To the more common double sunk versions. I think this version was very nice. Script printing the the Waltham maker. Red chaper marking the 5 minutes. Roman numerals. The movement is also lacking some of the engraving markings the new versions displayed. No Jewel Count displayed. On Adjusted Position diaplayed. It does have Adjusted engraved. And it does have Safety Barrel engraved. All the engraving is done in gold paint. |
