Please note that reports may contain inaccurate information or assumptions that must be dilligently considered with other available sources.

BJBurn2 22 · January 6, 2023

Serial Number 272258 was reported as inaccurate.

Note: Might this be a No.58 ? (similar to a No.62, but
62 was quick train)
No.41 was a model 2 Hunting style.
Curator Response: Correct. In my revised Hampden list, I have this run designated as Grade No. 58, aligning with your assesment. This updated database engine should be launching in the next few months.

BJBtime 23 · November 2, 2022

Serial Number 272258 was reported as inaccurate.

Note: Please see my recent photo of jewels behind the
dial. I have 2 listings for this watch, #272258.
So, if you want to delete BJBURN's it's OK, that's
me, too. Movement marked 15, there are 15
pressed-in jewels. ~ Ben (BJBtime)
Curator Response: Thanks for the report and photos. This movement would have likely been classified as a Grade No. 41 with 15 jewels. The database has been updated accordingly. Thanks again!

BJBURN 29 · October 29, 2019

Serial Number 272258 was reported as inaccurate.

Note: I noticed the regulator is a Tucker, not a Taske.
(William B. Tucker patent in 1864) Notice the
square pinsors, not like Taske's round ones.
(1870)
Curator Response: Thanks for the report. The regulator page needs to be updated to coincide with my recent research supporting the fact that the angled and round caliper regulators are both Teske designs. Tucker later claimed that they were his patent design, but his patent documentation actually describes the mechanism differently. Teske already had arrangements with Hampden by the time this movement was produced.

BJBURN 29 · October 28, 2019

Serial Number 272258 was reported as inaccurate.

Note: Hampden, Springfield, Mass., it's clearly marked
"15" , I believe it's a 15 jewel movement. Also
the jewels are not screwed in, but seem to be
pressed? (see photo) I don't see any marking for
"No. 57" The dial is double-sunk and one of the
hands seems to be replaced.
Curator Response: Thanks for the report. According to other observations, the "15" marking has been found on both 11-Jewel and 15-Jewel movements. If you are able to check under the dial for jewel count verification, please follow up with another report, and the database can be updated if neccessary.
