Serial Number 1265742 was reported as inaccurate.

Note: No disrespect, but I believe the 'jewel count'
(17J) is incorrect for this SR# 1265742. Looking
at the train bridge plate, there is 'no jewel' on
the center wheel pivot. To get to 16 jewels (or
higher) you would 'have' to have this pivot
jeweled. to get to 17J, the center wheel pivot
(on both ends) (jewel on the main plate, under the
dial) would also have to exist. this is
'extremely rare' for model 1, 2 or 3's. I checked
Roy and Bill's Book (Vol2) and it does say that
SR#'s 1265701 to 1265900 (200 units) have 17J's.
This may be a typo and should say 15J (which is
what the picture evidence suggests for this
movement). No way to prove this for all SR#'s in
this range unless all were inspected (which is
unlikely). if the owner of this movement were to
remove the dial and confirm the jewel count, we
could have confirmation that 'at least' this
movement is 15J.
Curator Response: I agree with your assessment. We now have evidence to indicate this range as 15-Jewel. Until more examples are found, we will change this run to display as 15-Jewel.
