Research Note: #1336427: Verified as 18-Size Model 5 nickel movement marked "15 Jewels" [eBay #134232235284]. The Illinois book by Meggers and Ehrhardt records this run as "Grade 81" - the only Grade 81 in the serial list. The known example from this run, #1336427, is consistent with the Grade 51 classification, including the "15 Jewels" marking and the signing style on the barrel bridge. For this reason, the database has been updated to reflect Grade 51, but it is still possible the factory designated this run as Grade 81 for a reason if it is not a simple transcription error.
