"INDEPENDENT" On Barrel bridge "FREDONIA N.Y."
along barrel bridge edge "improved April 10, 1879
and Sept 10, 1880" Regulator is 'modified'
Wheeler. stud is attached to balance bridge and
not to arm extending out to top plate. also, the
regulator ARM points in toward balance bridge
screw and not out toward index plate on top bridge
(no index plate on top bridge at all). key wind
square still on barrel bridge, but keyless works
allows winding from crown. still lever set.
Transition watch for sure.
Curator Response: Thanks for the report. The regulator is one of Clarence M. Howard's patent regulators.
