Curator Response: Thanks for the report. However, based on factory records and serial number sequences, this movement was manufacured c.1887. Sometimes, a case inscription can lead to misinterpreting the production date due to replacement movements, etc.

Curator Response: Thanks for the report and images. The "15 Jewels" marking is not consistent with other factory markings and was likely done at a later time. If possible, the jewel count would need to be verified by inspecting under the dial.
