Serial Number 25438 was reported as inaccurate.

Note: Hi again, I’m just wondering why the details of
this specific movement have not been updated to
“Adjusted” and also can you tell me what this
watch was manufactured? And since it’s adjusted,
would this qualify as a railroad approved
movement? - Rich Walker
Curator Response: Thanks for the report and images. Your watch would be classified as a Grade 101, manufactured c.1888. This grade was never specifically advertised as a railroad watch, but it would have been accepted into service by many railroads at the time of production. Interestingly, a watch from this run was tested for accuracy by the Superintendent of the Naval Observatory in April 1889. The Grade 101 is a rather uncommon grade.

Serial Number 25438 was reported as inaccurate.

Note: This movement is marked “Adjusted”. I compared
my movement with some of the others that were
uploaded and it doesn’t seem to be on any of
those from what I can see but mine definitely says
“Adjusted” underneath the balance wheel. Do I
need to be a member to upload pictures?
Curator Response: Yes. Please upload images of your watch for further evaluation and documentation. Here is a link on how to upload images: https://blog.pocketwatchdatabase.com/2017/08/08/how-can-i-upload-photos-of-my-watch-to-the-pocket-watch-database/
