Verification Reports for this Run

The following reports have been graciously submitted by dedicated members in reference to this production run. These reports are useful to verify data and track inaccuracies that require further research. Please note that reports may contain inaccurate information or assumptions that must be dilligently considered with other available sources.

Serial Number 120460 was reported as inaccurate.

Note: I am not an expert, and I personally have not
disassembled the movement, but from what is
visible it appears to have a compensating balance
rather than solid gold. This could be due to
repairs made sometime between 1864 and 2003 when I
acquired the watch. Please see the movement
picture.
Curator Response: Thanks for the report. Yes, your movement does indeed have a compensating balance. Factory ledgers indicate this run was fitted with solid balances, so it is possibly a later replacement. Once additional observations are available from this run, a more accurate conclusion can be made.
