JerryT Waltham Expert Small Watch Expert 425 · January 29, 2022

Serial Number 12610089 was reported as inaccurate.

Note: This is a 19-jewel split 3/4-plate movement made
for the E.Howard Watch Co. by Waltham It has the
Howard serial number 1010089 on the barrel bridge.
The original Howard marking was removed from the
train bridge and dial but was later re-engraved on
the bridge.
Curator Response: Thanks for the report. This information has been noted in the research notes for this run.

Serial Number 12610269 was reported as inaccurate.

Note: This appears to be a high-grade 19 Jewel version
of
the Equity Model. It is still correct that this
is a movement that Waltham made under contract
for
Keystone/Howard.
Curator Response: Thanks for the report. If possible, please upload an image of the movement to your collection for further evaluation and documentation.

Serial Number 12610579 was reported as inaccurate.

Note: The earlier "correction" I submitted for this
movement is in fact partly incorrect. This is
about a 16 size movement, not 12; it's not a model
1894, but rather an early, high-grade version of
the Equity Model. It is still correct that this
is a movement that Waltham made under contract for
Keystone/Howard.

Serial Number 12610579 was reported as inaccurate.

Note: This is a really special case: Waltham #12610579
appears to be a 12 size, 1894 model, 19J watch
that Waltham made under contract for E. Howard &
Co. See this page for another example:
