Note: PER PHOTOS IN EBAY, THIS IS AN EQUITY WATCH MADE
BY WALTHAM AND IS ONLY SEVEN (7) JEWEL............
Curator Response: Thanks for the report. Some "Equity" watches were manufactured later in production and contain shorter serial numbers. As such, these are not covered in the database since the original serial number runs are more relevant to the company historical context.

Serial Number 140296 was reported as accurate.

Serial Number 140241 was reported as inaccurate.

Note: I notice that the Catalog archive cut you have
associate with these Model 1860 A.T & Co watches
state that they are quick train. This is
incorrect, to my knowledge quick train is 18,000
Bph and these are 16,200 Bph. So I would say
either the catalog cut is wrong or you have used a
catalog cut for the later model A.T & Co grades,
not the Model 1860?
Curator Response: Indeed. The Model 1860 does not have a quick train. The catalog does not indicate the specific model, so it is associated with all Appleton, Tracy & Co. grade lookups. Since it was published c.1884, it is likely describing the Model 1883 Appleton, Tracy & Co. movement.
