Serial Number 15147864 was reported as inaccurate.

Note: The movement does not look like a grade 3: it is
full plate but the regulator is on the platine not
on the balance cock, please see photo in my
collection.

All the other data correspond, i.e. it has 11
jewels, the setting is through the pendant, and so
on.

Also please note that the watch was clearly
prepared for the Peruvian market, as shown by the
trademark on the dial and the peruvian national
shield on the back of the case.

Waltham Serial number 11375945 by Sicilianboy1 is
the same.

By looking at the Waltham list, I noticed that
after 1896 all grades of the 1883 movement had two
versions: one with the regulator on the balance
cock and one with the regulator on platine (for
example with 7 jewels grades 1 and 18, with 15
jewels grade 81 and 818). Only the 11 jewels did
not have a corresponding grade to grade 3.

Sorry for the cheeky questions, but could this be
the missing grade, i.e. grade 38 to keep with the
nomenclature?

Just curious
Curator Response: Thanks for the report. Everything about your watch is consistent with the Grade 3 classification. The regulator position was changed during production, but that would not necessitate a new grade designation.
