grade, but the movement is marked Royal. Please

Serial Number 3098440 was reported as inaccurate.

Note: I just acquired this watch. The movement is
identical to SN 3098461 and is marked as Royal,
not Riverside (or Special). Hope to post pictures
soon.

Note: Movement is stamped AWWCo ROYAL. Complete Price
Guide shows, under size 16:
Royal, 13-15J, M#1872...
I note that the movement has the same lay-out as
your illustration, yet is very plain, and no
center jewel, thus the 13j rather than than the
15j.

Curator Response: Thanks for the report and images. Without the center jeweling, the movement is consistent with the 15-Jewel designation. (2 Balance Hole Jewels, 2 Balance Cap Jewels, 1 Impulse Jewel, 2 Pallet Jewels, 2 Pallet Hole Jewels, 2 Escape Hole Jewels, 2 Fourth Wheel Hole Jewels, and 2 Third Wheel Hole Jewels).
