Note: The Waltham SN list specifies that this movement
is in a run of 15J mvoements. As there is no jewel
marking the only way to determine if it is 17J,
would be to remove the balance bridge to see if
the centerwheel is jeweled or not

Curator Response: Thanks for the report. With the Model 1883 design, you can view the top plate at an angle to identify whether the upper center wheel is jeweled or not. Please let us know what you find.
