Research Note: Waltham Serial Ledgers designate the block 6,506,981-6,508,000 as Grade No. 28 (16-Size, Nickel, 15 Jewels). The Waltham ?Gray Book? Serial List is in conflict, designating the block 6,507,001-6,508,000 as Grade K (6-Size, Model 1890, 15 Jewels). Various observations and reports within this run supports and validates the ?Gray Book? information. #6507295: Reported as 6-Size Model 1890. #6507948: Reported as 6-Size Grade K with 15 Jewels. #6507458: Reported as 6-Size with raised gold settings (consistent with Grade K). #6507957: Verified as a 6-Size Model 1890 [NAWCC]. As a result, the original run from the handwritten serial ledgers has been split in the database to correlate with the ?Gray Book? information.
