Note: Watch listed as not railroad grade but it is. Have
card and I had it maintained while working for
Southern Pacific Railroad. Is it possible that it
was modified to become railroad grade?

Curator Response: Thanks for the report. It is not likely that a 7-Jewel watch was approved for railroad service during the 1870s. Double check to verify you are conducting the lookup with the serial number from the movement (not the case) and the correct manufacturer.
