| Case Details | The case was manufactured by the American Watch Case Co. of Toronto Canada having it's winged wheel trade mark ans A.W.C.Co. stamped on the inside of the rear cover. "Premier" is the case grade, and indicates that it is 14k gold filled and guaranteed to wear for 21 years. The case was introduced by the A.W.C.Co. in 1890 as "The Patent Screw Dust Proof Case" and has an inside threads in the case as opposed to the bezel and rear cover in a normal SB&B case. | Dial Details | The Canadian dial is somewhat unique in having the hours indicated in Roman numerals (I-XII) in the inner chapter and in red Arabic numerals (13-24) in the outer chapter. Details from seller: "Single sunk with center line; Gothic-style Roman hours with red, Arabic 24-hours on the outside of the minute track, marked Columbus Watch Co. in script. Spade pointers with “bluing.” Dial is good with edge chips near three and nine, chip at nine partially into the 21 mark. Tight hairline network near 11/23." |
