We noticed that you entered a relatively short serial number.
"63" could possibly indicate the grade of the watch and not the serial number of your movement. Serial numbers are usually more than a few digits.

Research Note: Official Elgin factory serial lists start at movement #101 (18-Size B.W. Raymond). However, evidence supports the existence of experimental or pre-production movements in the 1-100 serial block. The first model designed for possible production was "an 18-Size (English) full plate, key-wind, with quick train and straight line escapement, arranged to set the hands at the back." However, this model was not adopted for production, and the company instead settled on the 18-Size model that is so familiar amongst Elgin collectors. It is possible that some of these pre-production "English" 18-Size movements fall within the 1-100 run. In 2020, movement #97 was sold on the eBay auction site. Though it does not fit the description of the first (rejected) model, it resembles the early 10s "Lady Elgin" movements. However, the images reveal the plates are considerably larger - approximately 15-Size (image analysis indicates a pillar plate diameter of approximately 42.3mm). The movement is marked "Daniel Webster Whittle - No. 97 - National Watch Co. - Elgin - Moseley's Patent - Patent Pinion." It is keywind/keyset and features screw-set jeweling on the top plate (11 or 15 total jewels). The dial is single-sunk with Roman numerals and signed "National Watch Co."
