Curator Response: Thanks for the report. Many of the American railroads were still accepting pendant-set watches when this watch was manufactured in 1903. While each railroad maintained its own standards, we typically consider 1906 as the year for wider adoption of industry standards (requiring lever-set). Understandably, there are differing opinions on this.
